Liz
Gordon
Liz
has had a life long love for animals,
starting with her exposure to
all kinds of creatures at a very
young age on her father’s
hobby farm. In her other professional
life, Liz has enjoyed a career
in Health Services Long Term Care
administration and project management.
In 1991, Liz registered Edinglas
Kennels with the Canadian Kennel
Club, and has been a breeder of
Golden Retrievers and Shetland
Sheepdogs.
In 1994, Liz purchased Pet Country
Estate, to fulfil her dream of
operating a business doing what
she loved, and being able to enjoy
doing so on her own property.
Pet Country Estate has grown in
leaps and bounds under her leadership;
none of the growth possible however
without the support of countless
friends, acquaintances, staff,
volunteers, clients and animals
that have helped make Pet Country
Estate what it is to-day.
Liz currently guides her troupe
of 20 volunteers that range from
the age of 9 and upwards, on good
animal care techniques, good socialization
techniques with animals, and most
of all the right play for all
concerned. An evident hobby for
Liz that can be observed throughout
different areas of Pet Country
Estate, is her landscape gardening;
also a love for collecting other
creatures that fill this natural
environment.
Liz has a passion for bringing
dogs and people together; she
finds great joy in being able
to see wonderful families coupled
with the dogs she breeds. More
recently Liz has led the way for
Pet Country Estate to support
the community through her business
fundraising activities related
to Canadian Guide Dogs for the
Blind.
