LIZ GORDON has had a lifelong love for animals, starting with her exposure to all kinds of creatures, at a young age on her father’s hobby farm in Scotland. In her other professional life, she enjoyed a career in Health Services Long-Term Care administration and project management.

IN 1991 Liz registered Edinglas Kennels with the Canadian Kennel Club, as a breeder of Golden Retrievers and Shetland Sheepdogs.  In 1994 she fulfilled a lifelong dream of operating a business, doing what she LOVED, by purchasing Pet Country Estate!  Located here in Innisfil, Ontario (on the 20th Sideroad, between Mapleview & Lockhart), Pet Country Estate has grown by leaps and bounds under her leadership.  But she's quick to point out: none of this would be possible, without the tremendous support of family/friends, staff/volunteers AND: the numerous animals of all shapes & sizes who call Pet Country Estate "HOME!"

Liz currently mentors a group of volunteers ranging in age 14-&-up, on how to properly care for animals, good socialization techniques, and most of all: the right amount of Play Time for all concerned.  Truly "Hands On", she also enjoys tending to her beautiful landscape gardens, and the large on-site pond that fills this natural environment.  Having a passion for bringing dogs and people together, she finds great joy seeing wonderful families coupled with the dogs she breeds.

She's also extremely proud of the TEAM EFFORT behind "Paws for a Cause/Family Day".  From 2004 - 2013, this annual Community Event, raised over $90.000 in support of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind and The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guide programs combined.  As Liz always says: "When it comes to Animals, all you need is LOVE!"
