Our Time with a Special Boy: Adopted at age 7, "MALCOLM" was a wonderful addition to our family!  From the moment we brought him home on March 7th, 2013, he brought us much love & many happy memories in our short time - just under 3 years - together.

He loved life and touched hearts everywhere he went. Anyone who started to pat Malcolm was in for the long haul because he always wanted "MORE". If he did something wrong, you couldn’t get mad at him because he always knew how to use those big brown eyes and everyone laughed-out-loud as he stood there wagging his tag at high speed!

A truly unique personality, he put up with our 2 cats Meeka & Cuba (especially Cuba, who loved to give him a bath).  When this occured, he'd look at us as if to say. “Really?!  Do I have to put up with this?”.  He lit up our lives and accompanied me with my camera every day to see what we could find!  Watching many sunsets over the water, Malcolm was my perfect nature buddy.  He & I met many animals & birds at a distance, and he'd never hurt a fly or make a sound. We spent many hours by the lake where he enjoyed nighttime walks with Mark & Jeff before bedtime.  And those last treats of the day?  They had to be served at 10pm sharp!  He also gave the BEST HUGS EVER!

We were not ready to lose him, nor was he ready to leave us.  An amazing friend, Malcolm will never be forgotten.

Our boy was set free with many beautiful birds surrounding him - at our favorite spot on the point January 31st, 2016.  Other than in-flight, we hadn't seen Swans here in 25 years...but it was a sight to behold: 46 trumpeter, mute & tundra swans - feathered angels one-&-all came to bid him farewell. They started arriving 3 days before he passed and stayed 3 days after. What a wonderful send off!

I thank Liz Gordon for telling us she had a "special boy", who needed a good home...and Dr. O’Sullivan for taking such good care of him!  And to our precious MALCOLM: "Thank YOU for sharing your love with us over these last 3 years!  Another dog was not on minds, having lost our previous pup 7 months earlier. But a home without a dog has a huge gap in it...and we fell in love with you immediately.  Love ya bud!  Miss you with all our hearts."
