Angel Vanderlinden June 14, 2005 - January 8, 2018.

Our "ANGEL" joined her sister "MISTY" January 8th at the rainbow bridge. We are heartbroken and will never forget her. She became part of our family just one week shy of her 2nd birthday in June 2007. Her previous owners did not take the time to train or work with her, so she was a wild one who barely walked on a leash!  But she had US trained in no time. It was obvious from the start she pretty well did what she wanted. That being said, it didn't matter...she was obedient enough.

Angel didn't really 'like' agility, but ran anyway just to please us.  After 8 years she finally obtained her Agility Trial Champion Dog of Canada title at an RU Ready Agility trial at Pet Country Estate. We had to retire her from agility in 2016 due to an injury, but were still very proud of her.  After months of physio & hydrotherapy, cold shockwave and acupuncture her knee was much better. In 2017 she ran "FEO" at our RU Ready trials with a slight limp, but she actually seemed to enjoy it! She also did some recreational dock diving and occasionally chased a frisbee when in the mood. Mostly what she loved to do was chase sticks, run, play with her soccer ball and be with us.

She was a loving dog, who always wanted to be petted, touched & paid attention to. I don't know how she knew we were coming home, but she was waiting patiently at the living room window when our car pulled into the driveway, and at the door waiting to greet us upon arrival. Angel was always with us indoors or out. She loved her snow baths in the winter and "helping" me in the garden in the summer.

At the end of her life, the vet told us she had a spinal issue and treatment would mean a long, painful, frustrating ordeal for her, with no guarantee of the outcome. We loved her too much to see her suffer. so we made the difficult choice of putting her to sleep. Angel was a great dog!  Loved dearly by me, Ron and our other dog Cooter. She is sorely missed and will be forever in our hearts.
