Michelle Smith: Drawn to Pet Country by her love of animals, Michelle also owns her own dog-walking company.  She has an extensive background of working with animals, and is proudly certified in Animal First Aid and CPR.

An member of our resident RU READY AGILITY team, Michelle spent much of her life training horses. This gives her great confidence whether handling large or small breed dogs.

She currently owns a 7yr old miniature dachshund named "FRANKIE" and "MESA" the Blue Heeler puppy; loves hiking, backpacking & camping with all her dogs in tow, or taking part in an RU READY Agility Trial.

Jennifer VanBodegom: Also a lifelong animal lover, Jenn has cared for many pets over the years.

With two  dogs of her own, this was the perfect fit. Not afraid to get "messy", Jenn says: "Every day is different and that's makes working here at Pet Country Estate so much fun!"  Whether in the kennel, doggie daycare or helping with some of our messier jobs like cleaning & property maintenance, she's up for the  challenge! She also enjoys volunteering and has always had a love of photography. You just might see some of her pictures right here on our website and social media pages within the very near future.

Brittany Sim: Sharing her home with a cat, cockatiel, bearded dragon and 2 dogs, it seems someone as pet-friendly as Brittany was destined to join our extended family! She also worked in the food service industry, at a veterinary clinic and a doggie daycare.

Now a Veterinary Assistant Graduate, she hopes to complete the Veterinary Technician program in the near future. Eager to learn more about canine body language and the many other things involved in animal care, we look forward to helping her meet and exceed her goals, within this most-rewarding field.

Kimie Dasilva: A graduate of St. Lawrence College's Veterinary Assistant program, Kimmie has accumulated a vast array of animal-related experiences.

She's worked as a Dog-Walker and Groomer, volunteered at a shelter and has also worked with exotic animals and wildlife such as monkeys and tigers!  She enjoys horseback riding and her current dog (a vizsla named "HUNTER") has just started Agility.

Kristi Lee: Part of our Pet Country Family for over 6 years, Kristi returns to us now between semesters as a Lakehead University Student.  Passionate about Animal Care, upon graduation she'll have an Honors Degree in Wildlife Biology - and we couldn't be happier to play even a small part in helping her achieve her goals.

She currently owns 2 rescues - a 7-year old Jack Russell (pictured here) named "BENTLEY" and a free-roaming rabbit named "HONEY".  Says Kristy: "I am so happy to be back and working in the place where I grew up!"
