Is your Emergency Preparedness Kit up-to-date?

The OSPCA reminds everyone to have an Emergency Pet Survival Kit at the ready, at all times. Here in Ontario, we're personally responsible for our own safety and survival during the first 72 hours of an emergency. The responsibility of caring for PETS ultimately rests on us as well. With that in mind, it’s important to develop and create a 72-hour Pet Emergency Survival Kit,… ... Read More

OBI thinks Pet Country Estate is "WOOF-TACULAR!!"

"Pet Country Estate is amazing! OBI went from a pup who was scared to go and shy of people, to a dog who loves everyone and can't wait to get to daycare. They're like visiting the cool Aunt & Uncle that have fun and tire the kids out. Obedience classes were also helpful and very informative. Thank you Pet Country Estate!" Darlene Kidman ... Read More

Fireworks can Spook your Pets!

Dogs, cats & even birds are truly FRIGHTENED by loud, unpredictable noises & bright lights! Even otherwise confident dogs can tremble & drool at the barrage of sights & sounds. If you can't remove them from the area, you can always try to desensitize them by playing a Fireworks video or recording. Start at the lowest possible volume a few times a day. Pair those… ... SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT (March 8, 2020)

I started breeding cats back in the 1980's. By 1990 I was breeding dogs, first Rottweilers & Golden Retrievers, then Shetland Sheepdogs & Goldens. It was at that time, that I applied to the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) to recognize my kennel name. Edinglas Kennels was born, a division of Pet Country Estate. After much soul-searching and now in my 70th year, I have decided that my current litter will be my last. Once these pups go to their new homes by March 15th, that will be the end of Edinglas Kennels. Do not fear: PET COUNTRY ESTATE will remain… ... Read More

"Rosslyn & Liz"...This Is Us!

Pronounced Ro"z"lyn, Moonbeam's beautiful Golden Girl is named after Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland. The name itself is thought to have been brought over by the Knight's Templar. Upon fleeing their home country of France, the Templars spread over Spain, Ireland, England & Scotland. Rosslyn Chapel is a gorgeous place. When visiting, the area feels somewhat mysterious, as it is the Templars who held many secrets regarding a vast fortune - which has never been found. Within the chapel there are numerous Masonic symbols that to this day have yet to be deciphered. Hence I picked Rosslyn's registered name as "Secrets… ... Read More
